Jason Hickel

Jason Hickel is a Professor at the Institute for Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA-UAB) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He holds additional roles as a Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics and a Chair Professor of Global Justice and the Environment at the University of Oslo. His research focuses on global political economy, inequality, and ecological economics, reflected in his influential books such as The Divide: A Brief Guide to Global Inequality and its Solutions (2017) and Less is More: How Degrowth Will Save the World (2020).
