Jason Gershman

Jason Gershman is Chair and Associate Professor of Mathematics at the Halmos College of Arts and Sciences, Nova Southeastern University. He holds a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. in Statistics from Rice University.

• Research Focus: Biostatistics, Statistics in Sports, Applied Probability, Statistical Genetics, and interdisciplinary applications to pharmacy, medicine, marine biology, and political polling.

His recent publications explore diverse areas including educational technology in statistics pedagogy, political polling methodologies, mathematical modeling in sports analytics, and healthcare policy analysis. Gershman actively engages in honors education through course instruction, committee service, and experiential learning activities like the Murder Mystery Dinner and honors banquets.
