Jason Frazier

Jason Frazier is an Associate Professor of Graphic Design and undergraduate program coordinator at Colorado State University’s Department of Art and Art History, within the College of Liberal Arts. He is also Co-Director of the Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition (CIIPE) and affiliated faculty at the School of Global Environmental Sustainability (SoGES) and the Nancy Richardson Design Center.

He holds a Master of Fine Arts and has over 30 years of experience in design, illustration, and education. His research focuses on design’s role in environmental sustainability, climate change communication, and interdisciplinary design thinking. In 2019-2020, he was a SoGES Resident Fellow, researching visual communication’s impact on public discourse about environmental issues.

His work has been exhibited globally, including in Russia, China, Slovakia, and South Korea, and has earned international awards. Recent exhibitions include solo shows addressing grief and loss through digital art, inspired by the loss of his sister to cancer. His professional projects span identity design, publication design, and multimedia, often addressing social and environmental themes.

Key scientific awards include recognition from Golden Bee, C-IDEA, and Taiwan’s International Graphic Design Award, among others. His teaching and research emphasize sustainability, technology, and social responsibility in design.

He contributed to the Richardson Design Center’s design thinking initiatives and presented at conferences like the Illustration Conference (ICON10). His collaborative efforts with interdisciplinary teams highlight his commitment to cross-disciplinary innovation.
