Jason Ferrell

Dr. Jason Ferrell is Professor and Chair of the Agronomy Department at the University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS). As Director of both the Center for Aquatic and Invasive Plants (CAIP) and the Pesticide Information Office, he leads research on invasive species management and pesticide safety protocols.

Research focuses on:

• Ecological impacts of aquatic invasive plants
• Herbicide efficacy and application methods
• Integrated pest management strategies
• Regulatory frameworks for pesticide use

His programs develop science-based solutions for invasive species control while ensuring environmentally responsible pesticide application practices.
