Jason Bennett

Jason Bennett, DA, is the Director of the Master of Science in Athletic Training program at Colorado Mesa University and a faculty member teaching in accredited athletic training programs. He joined the university with 25 years of experience and holds a doctorate from Middle Tennessee State University (2002), a Master’s (1998), and Bachelor’s (1995) in Physical Education with an option in Athletic Training from California State University.

• Experience: Certified athletic trainer since 1995; worked in minor league baseball and NCAA Division I/II athletics.
• Courses Taught: Prevention & Evaluation of Sports Injuries, Therapeutic Interventions.
• Research Interests: Focus on athletic training, sports injury prevention, therapeutic interventions, and physical education.

He currently leads the nationally accredited (CAATE) Athletic Training Program, contributing to both academic and clinical training in sports medicine, while balancing his personal interests in family time and baseball umpiring.
