Jasmit Singh Rangr

Jasmit Singh Rangr is a Lecturer in Architecture at the University of California, Berkeley, and founder of Rangr Studio, a design firm focused on harmonizing architecture with climate, landscape, and environment. He holds an M.Arch from Yale University School of Architecture and a B.A from Yale University. His work emphasizes ecological integration, with projects in the U.S., Dominican Republic, Mexico, Costa Rica, and India. He has been awarded globally, including the 2023 Architizer Best XS Firm and 2015 Architizer A+ Award.

Rangr Studio’s projects like Modern Cabin (2015) and Casa Kimball (2020) exemplify his philosophy of site-responsive design. His Berkeley Hills residence (2019) showcases seismic innovation and energy efficiency. He has taught at UC Berkeley since 2019, contributing to architectural education while maintaining a thriving practice.
