Jasminka Matevska

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jasminka Matevska serves as Professor of Practical Computer Science/Software Engineering at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Bremen University of Applied Sciences since March 2016. She concurrently leads the Bachelor's program in Computer Science: Software and Systems Engineering and the Master's program in Engineering and Management of Space Systems (EMSS).

Her academic qualifications include:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Information and Automation Technology) from University "Sv. Kiril i Metodij" Skopje, Macedonia (1992)
• Dr.-Ing. in Software Engineering with distinction from University of Oldenburg (2009)

Professor Matevska's research centers on software engineering with emphasis on architecture, design patterns, model-based development, and runtime reconfiguration of component-based systems. Her work bridges industrial applications including aerospace systems, IoT, and industrial communication networks through active industry partnerships.

She directs the interdisciplinary Airbus Café project in systems engineering context and leads multiple industry-funded initiatives including collaborations with Airbus Defence & Space (Columbus/ISS module, TEXUS/MAXUS sounding rockets) and Siemens (Industrial Communication Networks). She coordinates the International Double Degree Master Program EMSS with Gdansk University of Technology.

Active within university institutes including the Institute of Computer Science and Automation (IIA) and Institute of Aerospace Technology (IAT), she maintains professional memberships in German Computer Science Society (GI), Society for Systems Engineering (GfSE), and International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE).
