About
Jasmine Reimer is a Canadian artist and writer based in Berlin, affiliated with the Master Artistic Research program at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK). Her interdisciplinary practice spans non-fiction, fiction, poetry, sculpture, installation, and drawing, focusing on feminist symbolism, mythology, and abstraction. She investigates themes of spiritual transcendence and bodily transformation, blending art and spirituality as 'monster-ing practices.' Reimer lectures internationally and contributes art criticism to ArtReview, Border Crossings, and others. She recently published the poetry collection Small Obstructions and is developing an experimental book project exploring art and spirituality. Her workshops, such as "Becoming Plant" and "The New Hybrid," reflect her commitment to hybrid creative practices.
Reimer’s affiliations include teaching roles at KABK’s MA Artistic Research program and collaborations through platforms like Yes_Women_Mystics. Her work interrogates the intersections of gender, ecology, and metaphysical inquiry, challenging conventional boundaries between mediums and disciplines.
