Jasen R. Brooks

Jasen R. Brooks serves as Lecturer II at the Orvis School of Nursing, University of Nevada, Reno, joining the faculty in 2020 after extensive clinical leadership experience in critical care, emergency nursing, and wound care across New York and Nevada healthcare systems. He currently acts as faculty advisor for the Orvis Student Nurse's Association and teaches core nursing curriculum including pathophysiology, pharmacology, and evidence-based practice courses.

Professor Brooks maintains deep expertise in wound care education since obtaining certification in 2012, while actively researching simulation technology integration and gaming theory applications to enhance clinical training. His work consistently centers on advancing healthcare equity through LGBTQIA+ inclusive nursing practices, organ donation education, and diversity initiatives that transform patient care outcomes.
