Dr. Jarrod Erbe is Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Biology at Wisconsin Lutheran College. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Northland College, a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
His research focuses on bioremediation, bacterial biosensors for environmental monitoring, microbial ecology, and bacterial pathogenesis. Current investigations include developing phosphorus-detecting biosensors and analyzing microbial biome formation.
Dr. Erbe teaches courses including Microbiology, Genetics, Immunology, and Cell Biology. His publication record demonstrates consistent focus on environmental biotechnology and molecular microbiology, with recent work expanding into nanotoxicology and ecological remediation techniques.
