Jarred Pfeiffer is an Associate Professor of Art at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL), specializing in functional and sculptural ceramics. He holds a B.S. in Art from the University of Wisconsin and an MFA in Ceramics from Kansas State University. His work integrates mathematical principles with ceramic techniques, as evidenced by his thesis exhibition The Elegance of Structure. Before joining UWL, he served as Tenured Instructor of Ceramics at Cuesta College (2013–2019) and taught high school mathematics via Teach For America (2007–2009).
Active in professional residencies, Pfeiffer has participated in programs at Shigaraki Cultural Ceramic Park (Japan), Hambidge Center, Cub Creek Studios, and Carroll University. His artwork is exhibited nationally and internationally in juried shows. He currently teaches courses including Introduction to Ceramics, Intermediate Ceramics, and Advanced Ceramics at UWL.
