Jared Tawney

Jared Tawney is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Whitworth University, joining the staff in 2022. His academic and clinical expertise centers on therapeutic frameworks for family and individual mental health.

• Education: B.A. in Psychology from Cal State Bakersfield (2012), M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Whitworth University (2021).

Research & Clinical Focus:
Specializes in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including:

• Gottman Method for relationship counseling
• Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
• Lifespan Integration for trauma resolution
• Graduate research emphasis on Medical Family Therapy (MedFT)
