Jared Narvid

Jared Narvid, MD, is an Associate Professor in Neuroradiology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He holds roles as Director of IT at ZSFG, Co-Chair of the Residency Selection Committee, and directs the neuroradiology spine clinic. He earned his MD from UCSF and completed residency at Stanford University and a fellowship in Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology at UCSF.

Dr. Narvid’s research focuses on HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders, cerebrovascular disease, and informatics tools for medical reporting. He actively enrolls patients in studies imaging the HIV reservoir and has developed tools to evaluate uncertainty in radiology reports. His work spans neuroimaging, including advanced MRI techniques and cerebral perfusion studies.

His publications highlight contributions to spinal trauma imaging, cavernous malformations, and HIV-related cerebrovascular research. He has received awards from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, American Heart Association, and others. His clinical and academic contributions emphasize translating research into clinical practice, particularly in neuroradiology and neuro-HIV.
