Jared Jagdeo

Jared Jagdeo, MD, MS is an Associate Professor of Dermatology and Director of the Center for Photomedicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. He founded the Laser, Aesthetics and Body Institute to provide advanced laser treatments and cosmetic services. He is a physician-scientist specializing in lasers and light-based medicine, with a focus on compassionate patient care.

• Education: BA in Human Biology from Brown University; MS in Pathobiology from Brown University Graduate School; MD from Brown Medical School.
• Training: Internship in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center; Dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate; Fellowship in Photobiology and DNA Repair at Howard Hughes Medical Institute-National Institutes of Health.

His research spans cutaneous photobiology, wound healing, fibrosis, skin cancer, immunology, and procedural dermatology. Dr. Jagdeo has authored over 150 peer-reviewed articles and edited multiple books and chapters.
