Jaquetta Marie Reeves

Dr. Jaquetta Marie Reeves is an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) within the College of Nursing and Health Innovation (CONHI). She holds expertise in adolescent and young adult sexual health, STI/HIV prevention, and addressing health disparities among minority populations. Her research focuses on improving sexual health outcomes through innovative strategies targeting underserved communities.

Research Interests:

• Sexual health inequities among minority youth
• STI/HIV prevention in marginalized communities
• Social determinants of HIV among women of color

Her work has led to grants such as the Carolyn L. Cason Faculty Research Fellowship (2023) and the National Institute of Health (NIH) Loan Repayment Program (pending). She is also a core member of the SAFE Lab, dedicated to developing sexual health programs for youth.

Dr. Reeves teaches graduate nursing courses, including Family Clinical Practice and Nursing Research, and actively serves on institutional and professional committees, including the UTA First-Gen Student Initiatives and American Sexually Transmitted Diseases Association.
