About
Janusz Akermann is a Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, specializing in Graphic Arts. He has been a faculty member since 1985 and leads the Linocut Studio at the Department of Graphic Arts. His career includes serving as Dean of the Faculty of Graphic Arts during two terms (2008–2012 and 2012–2016).
He graduated in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk in 1985, with a diploma supplement in color linocut. His artistic practice focuses on linocut techniques, and he has authored 85 solo exhibitions and participated in over 400 group exhibitions globally.
