Jannie Rosenberg Bendsen

Jannie Rosenberg Bendsen is a Post.Doc researcher at Aalborg University's Department of the Built Environment, within The Faculty of Engineering and Science. Her work focuses on the transformation of housing and places, particularly analyzing cultural and social dimensions of domestic life in mid-20th century Denmark. She co-leads two research projects: 'Bo Godt: Boligidealer i fremtiden' (2025–2026) and 'BO GODT! Udviklingen af danske boligidealer 1930-1960' (2024–2026). Her research integrates historical analysis of architectural and media narratives, as seen in her publication on 'hygge' in the Danish women's magazine Tidens Kvinder. She has also engaged in public outreach, including a guest lecture on housing ideals in 1930–1960 Denmark. Her email is jannierb@build.aau.dk.
