Janice Rudkowski

Dr. Janice Rudkowski is an Assistant Professor at the Ted Rogers School of Retail Management, Toronto Metropolitan University. She holds a BAA from Toronto Metropolitan University, an MBA from York University's Schulich School of Business, and advanced degrees (MSc, DBA) from Henley Business School, University of Reading. Her research focuses on frontline retail employees' perceptions of brand equity, employee influence in social media, pop-up retail strategies, and customer experience optimization. She has published in journals like Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services and Journal of Product & Brand Management.

Dr. Rudkowski's teaching and research emphasize experiential learning, having developed Canada's first Category Management Association-accredited course (RMG806). She collaborates with industry partners to integrate certifications like the Certified Professional Category Analyst (CPCA) into her curriculum. She currently serves as President of the Canadian Retail Education Association and holds editorial and board roles in retail-focused organizations.

Her research spans both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, addressing themes such as employee behavior motivations, digital influencer dynamics, and the evolving retail landscape.
