Janice E. Reutt-Robey is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of Maryland. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Haverford College (1980) and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from UC Berkeley (1986), followed by postdoctoral work at AT&T Bell Labs. Her research focuses on surface chemistry, nanoscale science, and energy storage materials using advanced scanning probe and surface spectroscopy techniques. Key projects include directed molecular assembly for nanoelectronics, polymorph control in organic crystals, and energy storage in nanostructured materials like graphene and MnO₂ nanocrystals.
