Janice Connell

Janice Connell is a Research Fellow at the University of Sheffield, affiliated with the School of Medicine and Population Health and the Department of Health Economics and Decision Science. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Behavioural Sciences and specialises in mental health outcomes research, with a focus on validating generic quality-of-life measures like EQ-5D and SF-36 for mental health populations.

Her career includes pivotal roles in developing the CORE Outcome Measure (CORE-OM) and evaluating the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme. Currently, she contributes to the OCTET trial as local project manager, investigating self-help interventions for obsessive-compulsive disorder.
