Janice Bowie

Janice V. Bowie is Professor Emeritus at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with research centering on health equity and community-engaged interventions. Her work examines structural determinants of health disparities in urban settings.

Key projects investigate neighborhood resources' impact on preventable hospitalizations, community health worker effectiveness, and spirituality's role in health behaviors. Publications include analyses of racial disparities in healthcare access and chronic disease outcomes.
