Janet Lear is an Assistant Lecturer in the School of Teacher Education at the University of Wyoming's College of Education. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (2017), M.A. in Education (1998), and B.S. in Elementary Education (1990). Her research focuses on teacher preparation policy, funding mechanisms, and literacy leadership in high-need schools. She has extensive experience in K-12 education, including roles as a teacher, reading specialist, and ESL coordinator. Professional roles include educator development specialist at the Colorado Department of Education and adjunct/clinical faculty positions at multiple universities.
