Dr. Janet Hindman is a Professor of Educational Leadership and Dyke Rogers Endowed Professor at West Texas A&M University, where she directs the Leadership in Higher Education Ed.D. Program. As co-author of WTAMU's doctoral program proposal, she played a pivotal role in establishing the institution's Ed.D. degree.
With 35+ years in Texas public schools as teacher, administrator, and regional education specialist, her research examines ethical leadership, rural education challenges, and writing pedagogy. Honors include Fulbright Scholarship to study Eastern education systems.
She currently chairs dissertation committees and has held leadership roles including Department Head of Education (2018-2022) and Faculty Senate Vice President. Grant initiatives span federal, state, and local education funding programs.
