Janet C. Walkow, Ph.D., serves as Clinical Professor of Molecular Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery at The University of Texas at Austin and Executive Director & Chief Technology Officer of the Innovating for Health (i4Health) Institute. She joined the university in 2008 after a distinguished pharmaceutical industry career spanning R&D, product development, and Corporate Strategy.
Her research focuses on molecular drug delivery systems, therapeutic development pipelines, and health innovation ecosystems. She pioneered the edX MOOC "Take Your Medicine" exploring drug therapy development and leads the Leading Women Project to cultivate self-leadership skills through her interactive book "Take the Lead". Her work bridges pharmaceutical science with real-world health solutions and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Walkow's transformative contributions earned her recognition as a UT Gamechanger and among the Top 100 Women in STEM. Additional honors include:

As a dedicated mentor, she coaches women globally through the Leading Women Project and serves as Vice Chair of the Ann Richards School Foundation Board. Under her leadership, the i4Health Institute operates the TherapeUTex preclinical development core and UTech Dorm Room wet labs, accelerating startup technologies from concept to clinical application.
