Janet Boyd

Janet Boyd is an Associate Professor and Interim Dean at Becton College, Fairleigh Dickinson University. She serves as Chair of the Department of Humanities and focuses on academic support services, student success, and fostering a sense of belonging in higher education.

Her research emphasizes international student support, writing centers, and interdisciplinary modernism in American literature. She co-edited the 2023 volume International Student Support and Engagement in Higher Education (Routledge) and contributes to the book series Innovation and Activism in American Women’s Writing.

Dr. Boyd holds a BA from Rutgers College and MA/PhD degrees from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. She has held multiple administrative roles, including Interim Associate Dean of University College and Interim Chair of the School of Art and Media Studies.
