Dr. Janet Englund is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington and affiliate investigator at Fred Hutch Cancer Center, specializing in pediatric infectious diseases and virology. She directs research on respiratory viral vaccines in diverse populations including immunocompromised hosts and pregnant persons, and leads the CDC-sponsored New Vaccine Surveillance Network site in Seattle.
Her research focuses on vaccine-preventable respiratory diseases, viral diagnostics, and novel therapeutics, with extensive clinical trial experience across NIH-sponsored networks including AIDS Clinical Trials Unit and Vaccine Treatment Evaluation Unit.
