Dr. Jane White is Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Bath and Vice-President (Community & Inclusion). Her research develops mathematical models for health and social sciences, focusing on infectious diseases, drug delivery across skin barriers, and criminal behavior dynamics.
She collaborates extensively with researchers in sub-Saharan Africa and serves as Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg. Current projects include modeling topical drug pharmacokinetics, criminal network interactions, and disease spread in resource-limited settings.
As co-lead for the Institute of Mathematical Innovation's Capacity Building theme, she supports mathematical research training in the Global South.
