Jane Mendle is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Cornell University's College of Arts and Sciences. She directs the Adolescent Transitions Lab, investigating how puberty influences psychological adjustment. Her interdisciplinary work integrates developmental psychopathology with behavior genetics, public health, evolutionary psychology, and epidemiology.
Her research examines:
- Timing and tempo of puberty
- Early-life antecedents of adolescent development
- Perceptual and social understandings of puberty
- Transdiagnostic mental health risks
