Jane Green is a Lecturer in Politics at the University of Manchester and serves on the Advisory Council of the University of Bolton.
Her research centers on political party strategies, issue agendas, policy positions, and voting behavior, with specialized expertise in opposition campaign tactics—particularly regarding the British Conservatives during their time out of government. This focus positions her at the intersection of electoral strategy and real-world political dynamics.
She actively contributes to academic infrastructure as a Board Member of methods@manchester and a Junior Fellow of the British Election Study, while her public engagement includes serving as BBC World Service's election expert for the 2005 and 2010 UK General Elections and regular media punditry.
