Dr. Jane Graziano is a Professor of Art Education at Rowan University’s College of Education, Department of Content Area Teacher Education. She holds an Ed.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a B.S. in Life Sciences from the University of Illinois. Her research focuses on transformative arts practices, installation art’s role in societal change, and arts integration in K-12 education. She has published in Art Education and contributed to textbooks like Discovering Drawing and Focus on Photography.
Her teaching responsibilities include courses such as Introduction to Instruction and Assessment and Clinical Practice II: Elementary and Secondary Art. She advises the National Art Education Association Student Chapter and co-coordinates SmART, a community arts program for K-12 students.
Dr. Graziano has received multiple accolades, including four New Jersey Governor’s Awards and leadership roles such as President of Art Educators of New Jersey (2015-2018). Her work emphasizes community engagement and teacher professional development.
