About
Professor Jan-Theodoor Janssen is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Physics at Lancaster University. His research focuses on particle physics and high-energy collider experiments, particularly using the ATLAS detector at CERN's Large Hadron Collider.
His work spans experimental particle physics, quantum field theory, and nuclear physics, with recent contributions to studies of Higgs boson decays, jet production in heavy-ion collisions, and searches for new heavy particles such as Majorana neutrinos and right-handed W bosons.
Between 2018 and 2019, he co-authored 8 publications in Physics Letters B and the Journal of High Energy Physics, all related to ATLAS experiments. These studies include measurements of photon-jet correlations, gluon-gluon fusion processes, and investigations into lepton-flavor-violating signals.
