Jan Süselbeck is a Full Professor of German Culture at NTNU's Department of Language and Literature within the Faculty of Humanities. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor of German Studies at the University of Calgary, Canada, reflecting his transnational academic engagement. His career includes roles as DAAD Associate Professor (2015-2020) and DAAD Returning Grant recipient (2020-2021). He holds a habilitation from Philipps University of Marburg (2012) and a PhD from Free University of Berlin (2004).
His research focuses on affect theory, literary antisemitism, transcultural memory, and representations of war.
