Jan Petrov is a Research Fellow in Law at The Queen's College, University of Oxford, and an Early Career Fellow at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights. He also serves as a Lecturer in EU Law at Keble College. His affiliations include multiple colleges within the University of Oxford, reflecting his dual role in research and teaching.
Jan holds degrees in Law, Political Science, and International Relations from Masaryk University and New York University School of Law, where he was a Hauser Global Scholar. His research focuses on the interplay between domestic and international courts within socio-political contexts, particularly addressing democratic backsliding and the tension between judicialization of politics and executive overreach.
