Jan Augustyn Matuła (born 1943) is a Polish biologist and Professor of Biological Sciences at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, affiliated with the Department of Botany and Plant Ecology within the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology. He earned his PhD in Biological Sciences and habilitation in 1996 for his work on peat bog algae in Lower Silesia, later receiving the title of professor in 2007.
