PD Dr. Jan Martin Timmer is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Ancient History at the University of Bonn, where he has been a scientific staff member since 2005. His academic career includes guest professorships at TU Dresden (2020), Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (2018/19, 2016), and Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen (2017/18). He completed his habilitation at Bonn in 2015 and earned his doctorate from Universität Bielefeld in 2007. Since 2021, he has co-edited the journal Historische Anthropologie.
