Prof. Jan Marc Berk is a Full Professor of Money and Banking at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Economics and Business. He concurrently serves as Director of Resolution at De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), the Dutch central bank. His expertise spans monetary theory, policy, and financial stability, with a focus on European banking systems and central banking practices.
Berk holds MSc degrees from Erasmus University Rotterdam (1987, macroeconomics) and Tilburg University (1997, financial economics), and a PhD from Groningen University (1998).
