Jamie Trapp

Jamie Trapp is an Associate Professor at Queensland University of Technology's Faculty of Science, School of Chemistry & Physics. With over two decades of experience in medical physics, radiation detectors, and dosimetry, his collaborative research has significantly improved radiotherapy treatments and radiation safety protocols globally. He serves as an Editorial Board Member for Physical and Engineering Sciences in Medicine and contributes to the International Organization for Medical Physics' Publications Committee.

• PhD in CT imaging and gel dosimetry from QUT (2003)

His research focuses on 4D radiation measurements, 3D gel dosimeters, and clinical applications of radiation physics. Recent publications highlight advancements in out-of-field dosimetry, adaptive radiotherapy, and AI-driven quality assurance. As a Distinguished Fellow of the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine, he has contributed to national radiation safety standards and medical physics education programs.
