Jamie Pyper

Associate Professor Jamie Pyper is affiliated with Queen's University's Faculty of Education, specializing in mathematics education and teacher preparation. His work focuses on preservice teacher education, particularly in secondary mathematics, and integrates innovative pedagogical models like problem-based learning. Pyper holds a PhD in Mathematics Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto, alongside degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Dramatic Arts from the University of Waterloo and University of Toronto.

Research interests include teacher efficacy, mathematics discourse, and professional learning cultures.
