Jamie Piercy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the Irving K. Barber Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of British Columbia Okanagan. Jamie Piercy holds a BSc from the University of Victoria and a PhD from Wayne State University. She teaches courses in Lifespan Development, Child Development, and Developmental Psychopathology.
Her research focuses on Lifespan Neuropsychology, particularly the effects of Prematurity, Hemispatial Neglect, and Stroke on cognitive and emotional development. She also explores the Psychosocial Impacts of Adverse Experiences, including grief, loss, and substance use among children, youth, and families.
As a graduate student supervisor, Jamie Piercy is not accepting new Psychology graduate students for the September 2026 intake.
