Jamie Kreiner is Professor and Robert & Dorothy Wellman Chair in Medieval History at UCLA, specializing in the intellectual and cultural history of the early Middle Ages. Her research examines ethical systems through the lenses of cognitive science, ecology, religion, and manuscript studies.
Kreiner's publications include 'The Wandering Mind' on monastic concentration practices and 'Legions of Pigs' exploring ecological relationships in early medieval Europe. Her work has been translated into eight languages and featured in popular publications from People to The New Yorker.
