Jamie Churchyard

Dr. Jamie Churchyard is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of West London's School of Human and Social Sciences. His research focuses on personality dynamics, well-being, and individual differences, particularly exploring how personality interacts with contexts like social groups or situations to influence mental health outcomes. He also investigates dogmatic thinking in societal groupings (e.g., religious, political) and occasionally addresses higher education innovations. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being).

He teaches across multiple psychology programs, including MRes Psychology, BSc programs in Psychology with Clinical/Counselling Skills, Criminal Investigation, and Educational Practice, as well as MSc Mental Health and PhD Psychology.

Recent research themes include fantasy football's mental health impacts, bereavement by suicide among peer support groups, and male rape myth acceptance.
