Prof James Verdon is the Dean of the School of Social Sciences, Media, Film and Education at Swinburne University of Technology. He holds the academic rank of Professor and has served as Chair of the Department of Film and Animation from 2014–2019. His research focuses on the interplay between reality and screen-based representations, emphasizing technological mediation in media.
