James Rendell is a Lecturer in Creative Industries at the University of South Wales, affiliated with the Faculty of Business and Creative Industries and the Creative Industries Research and Innovation Group. He serves as course leader for the Media, Culture and Journalism undergraduate programme and teaches on the MA in Visual Journalism. His research focuses on screen media audiences, participatory cultures, digital media technologies, horror/cult media, and media inclusion/diversity, including projects like dementia-friendly cinema initiatives and analyses of race/gender representation.
