Dr. James R. Lothian is Distinguished Professor and Toppeta Family Chair in Global Financial Markets at Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business, where he has taught since 1990.
Research expertise spans monetary economics, international finance, and financial history. Previously served as Journal of International Money and Finance editor (1986-2012) and VP for financial research at Citibank/Citicorp.
Education includes PhD and MA from University of Chicago and BA magna cum laude from Catholic University of America. Held visiting positions at NYU, Tilburg University, and research appointments with IMF and Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
