James Perlotto

James Perlotto is an Assistant Clinical Professor in Internal Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine. He serves as Chief of Student Health and Athletic Medicine, Team Physician for Yale Varsity Athletics, and Fellow of Trumbull College. His roles include teaching modules on the Doctor-Patient Encounter, Reproductive Health, Human Sexuality, and HIV/Needlestick Exposures. He has received awards for humanism in medicine and leadership.

• Education: B.S. in Biology (Yale University), M.D. (Boston University), Family Medicine Fellowship (University of Minnesota)

Research interests focus on clinical ethics, patient-centered care, and athletic medicine. His work bridges medical education and community health, reflected in his service in the National Health Service Corps and leadership in medical school admissions.
