Dr. James Nelson is a Professor in the Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology at UT Health San Antonio, affiliated with the Barshop Institute for Longevity and Aging Studies. He serves as Director of the Biology of Aging discipline in the IBMS Graduate Program. His research focuses on understanding aging mechanisms, including dietary restriction effects on lifespan, genetic factors influencing longevity, and endocrine systems' roles in aging.
