James Lee

Dr James Lee is Pro-Vice Chancellor and Head of the College of Health, Science and Society at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). Since joining UWE in 1999, he has held a wide range of academic and leadership roles including Senior Lecturer, Head of School, Faculty Deputy Dean, and Interim Executive Dean. His early academic work centered on the history of 16th and 17th century society, politics, and culture, with publications on political communication during the Tudor and Stuart periods. In his current role, he leads strategic initiatives across teaching and learning, research and innovation, business development, and partnership collaboration, with a strong commitment to enhancing both the student and staff experience.
