James Lacy

Dr. James Lacy serves as Adjunct Professor of Religion at Cornerstone University’s Professional & Graduate Studies (PGS), focusing on Ministry Education. He holds a D.Min. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, an M.R.E. from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Northwest Baptist University, and a B.A. from Bob Jones University. With 47 years of pastoral experience, including interim pastor roles, Dr. Lacy specializes in teaching biblical literature, philosophy, and leadership. He won the PGS Educator of the Year award (2005) and emphasizes practical wisdom in education to help students overcome career barriers.

Research interests include innovative teaching methods in religious education, particularly applying dramatic monologues to Old Testament studies. His 1990 publication explores pedagogical strategies for prophetic literature. Beyond academia, Lacy is an avid traveler, biker, and reader, and values pastoral work alongside teaching.

Teaching contributions include co-developing courses for PGS programs. His professional narrative combines decades of ministry experience with academic mentorship, aiming to bridge theological knowledge with real-world leadership challenges.
