Capt James J. Frye is an active faculty member at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), teaching in the Civil Engineer School. He holds a Master of Science in Project Management from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University. His military and professional experience includes roles such as Construction Management Officer in Charge (OIC), Chief of Program Development, and Readiness & Emergency Management Flight Commander at various Air Force bases. He specializes in project management, construction management, and Arctic engineering. Frye is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Alaska and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He currently teaches courses including WENG 200 (Scoping & Cost Estimating) and WMGT 422 (Project Management).
