James Ireland

James Ireland is a Senior Lecturer in BA Fine Art Sculpture at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London. His artistic practice explores how cultural and economic forces shape environmental perception, utilizing mass-produced objects to reference idealized landscapes. His work has been exhibited internationally and features in permanent collections including the Zabludowicz Collection.

His creative research involves:

• Constructing landscapes from industrial materials
• Exploring surface translucency and reflection
• Interrogating romanticized nature representations
• Site-specific installations using everyday objects
